The international kids party by the river in Ushita/Hakushima was a great success. The weather cooperated and a group of 30 or so costumed kids and parents got together for an afternoon of fun and games. The kids loved the apple bobbing, sticky hanging donut eating, trick or treating, monster pinata bashing. Keep an eye on the Hiroshima Oyako blog for news of future gatherings.
Come evening it was into town for more adult-oriented costume fun. I didn't make it to Kulcha's Halloween party, but I thought the Nanja Events party at Chinatown was a great success. There was a great vibe for most of the night and I enjoyed it the most all the six I've been to so far. There are still a few kinks to work out in getting the costume contest and performances running as smoothly as they could, but a big well done Jamie and Natasha! We'll be posting pics on GetHiroshima in the next few days.
Quick plug. If you enjoyed the music played by myself and windcheater at Chinatown please think about coming to 3K Breaks at Edge on November 12. Entry is a mere ¥1000 including a drink.
