International Fun Run Relays in Chuo-koen, Feb 28
We are putting together a fun relay race to be held in Chuo-koen Park on February 28th from 11am.
More details are coming soon, but we are hoping for teams of 6 people to take turns running, jogging, walking or strolling around the park. There will be a kids event (each leg will be 550m) and an event for adults (each leg 800-900m). The focus is not on being fast and winning, but on enjoying having fun outside doing exercise together- hope you will join us.
It will be possible to sign up on the morning of the race (by 10am) but we are hoping most people will register at least a week before the race so we know approximate numbers. We are asking ¥100 for each runner (proceeds will be donated to the new and exciting Hiroshima-jin University project).
The plan is to follow the run with a potluck lunch, but if the weather is bad we will head to Molly Mallone's for a post-race gathering.
If you think you might like to take art, or have any questions please holler in the comments below or write to gethiroshima@gmail.com.
